Bella's Dancewear Boutique

 

For your convenience, our dancewear boutique (at our 2 studios) carries all dancewear and footwear required. Dance clothing is available the day of registration and throughout the year. Our staff must approve dancewear not purchased at the studio.

 

Dance classes are an interpreted style of movement/exercise where appropriate dance apparel needs to be worn. Dancers need to attend classes in dance clothing that allows the dancer to perform their dance moves with ease. As well as clothing, appropriate dance shoes are also part of the dancer's apparel. It is very important that our classes are uniform in order to prevent any type of distraction and to teach a level of discipline. The simple leotard, tights, and skirt combination makes it possible for the instructors to see the dancer's bodies so they can make the proper corrections. Young dancers are sometimes distracted by their own dancewear. Large skirts and/or tutus sometimes become the dancer's focus instead of the instructor. Learning to dance and work together as a team can be more easily achieved by removing the distraction of different dancewear. Instructors are able to choreograph dances more easily when the dancers are dressed the same. Contact Agnes if you have questions regarding any dance clothing or shoes.

 

For your convenience, we have Bella's Boutique inside our studio so you may purchase any of your dance apparel. If there is any dancewear you purchase outside our studio, it needs to be approved by Agnes. Shoes purchased at Walmart/Target are not appropriate shoes for your dance class.

 

Proper dance attire is required for each class. ASDS t-shirts/tank tops/sweatshirts may be worn over leotards as cover-ups but must be removed at the start of class. If a student comes to class dressed inappropriately, they may be asked to sit out for that class. Dancers will not be permitted to dance in street clothes, jeans, sports uniforms, etc. You would not send your child to sports in their dance clothing-please do not send them to dance in anything but their dance clothes.
